Why we do it
Our business has a deep purpose beyond profit, one that is rooted in service and giving back.
Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home
We love our furry friends here at The Crafty Kit Company, and in 2018, we teamed up with one of our favourite local charities.
Edinburgh Headway Group
We're proud to donate £1 from each monthly box that we send to members of our Crafty Kit Club to Edinburgh Headway Group, who aim to empower and enrich the lives of adults who have survived an acquired brain injury, a cause that is very close to our hearts here at The Crafty Kit Company.
Scottish Seabird Centre
Many of our kits are inspired by Scotland's incredible coasts, landscape, and wildlife, and in June 2021 we held two fundraising workshops which raised almost £500 for The Scottish Seabird Centre, a conservation and education charity inspiring people about wildlife and the natural environment.
"B1G1" - Business For Good
Our partnership with B1G1 enables us to give to global charities and projects, all of which are in line with the 17 sustainable goals set by world leaders. For each kit that we make, we donate one 'impact' through B1G1 to charitable causes, such as providing a day's clean drinking water to a family in Ethiopia, or sight-saving vitamins to children in Kenya. We are proud to be the first craft and hobby business in the UK to team up with this amazing organisation.
