Description
Part of the British Artists collection. John Constable painted this wonderful piece of art in 1821, of a site in Suffolk, near Flatford on the River Stour. The hay wain is a type of horse drawn cart, that can be seen in the water in this painting. The horses pull the cart through the water to get to the other side.
To the left, a beautiful cottage covered in greenery watches over the lake, which stands behind Flatford Mill. The cottage and river are still very much the same as they were in this painting in 1821.
A very peaceful and relaxing jigsaw puzzle to piece together.
