Part of the British Artists collection. Painted in 1839 by Joseph Mallord William Turner, this beautiful painting depicts a battle ship called 'Fighting Temeraire', The 98-gun ship that played a part in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 and remained in service until 1838.
This stunning painting shows the ship travelling away from the sunset to the east and was thought to represent the decline of Britain's naval power.
